  Fairport Containers Ltd has over 30 vehicles in our fleet for different applications. Fairport Garages leases the fleet with a full repair and maintenance contract providing a fixed price repair and service. We find this option is very cost efficient and suits our business needs. The level of service and communication is always high. If ever a problem arises Lee Cuniliffe the Garages Manager always ensures it is resolved in a timely manner, so as not to impact us and reduce our downtime. I have had to make operational changes due to customer demands, including adding Hook Loader and Drag vehicles to improve operations and productivity and more importantly to meet customers health and safety criteria. Following the success of the vehicle additions, we have now increased the number of hook loaders to give other clients access to these vehicles. We provided the specification based on our customers’ requirements, during account management meetings. Fairport Garages sourced the vehicles through different suppliers in order to meet timelines and delivery dates. Fairport Garages project managed from start to finish to ensure delivery dates were achieved. Below is the purchase history of our vehicles: 2 x Scania models were purchased in 2013 1 x Mercesdes in 2016 1 x DAF in March 2019 1 x DAF October 2019. All vehicles were delivered within 6 months of order, which I think is an excellent time frame and we have not been disappointed with any of our new vehicles.

Andrew Porter Ltd currently own all the vehicles and we pay a retainer to Fairport Garages to cover the repair and maintenance of the fleet. Both routine and emergency services are of an excellent standard. We required a number of very specialist vehicles for our removals services including laboratory relocations and residential storage and removals. These vehicles were required to have additional pods built on top of the cabs to allow for an additional driver and further space for storage. Side opening doors were also a requirement and tie rails to the side; these bespoke vehicles took 3 to 6 months to build and deliver to the client. Due to the nature of vehicles, a lengthy planning and preparation process prior to the order was necessary to ensure all specifications were correct. Fairport Garages have worked meticulously to achieve deadlines and our requirements. Lee Cunliffe the Garages Manager always goes above and beyond to give us the best service.
